Session Lengths: 1 Week
Camp Shai provides an inclusive, supportive, and enriching environment that supports the individual growth of each camper through intentional and engaging programming that increases camper’s self-esteem and self-confidence. Campers are encouraged to learn new skills and master old ones as well as to make responsible decisions, collaborate with others, and have fun in a social atmosphere rooted in Jewish values. Campers and staff will develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for Jewish culture and traditions while celebrating their personal identity and creating a spirited, welcoming community.
At Camp Shai, campers have opportunities to develop and deepen friendships, learn new skills and practice old ones, build self-confidence and self-esteem, and become contributing members of a tight-knit community. From the moment campers step out of the car the first morning of camp, they are immersed in our camp culture, traditions, and community life. Every day, we begin the camp experience with morning circle where our campers have a chance to sing, cheer, dance, stretch, and prepare for their day together.
Inclusivity is an essential component of the Camp Shai experience. Campers, staff and parents of all faiths and backgrounds will feel a part of the Camp Shai community through learning about our camp values, participating in daily rituals and traditions, and engaging in intentional programming.
