The Camp Keff Story

We are Camp Keff. Camp is what we do. We know that a safe, adventurous summer camp experience has the power to be transformative for your child. For more than 50 years, youth and teens ages 2 years to grade 12 have camped with the PJCC. Keff (fun in Hebrew) has always been the cornerstone of our philosophy and programs and there is so much more that makes Camp Keff the best choice for your child. Camp Keff is irresistibly engaging with a curriculum that sparks imagination. We love each of our campers and as a result, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow, learn, and play. Our experienced staff focus on character building and the self-esteem of each camper. Camp Keff campers learn new talents, self discovery, and how to make good choices while making friends along the way. We hope your child will join our camp family. Our camps are designed to have a variety of activities and themes that are inclusive of all denominations. We offer unique programming and an inclusive environment that caters to every camper’s needs.

Why We Host Schlichim

"Hosting Shlichim during the summers remains a wonderful experience for our family. Each year we meet dynamic and fascinating young Israelis with whom we maintain contact long after the summer has gone. Our kids are the greatest beneficiaries of the experience, finding in the Shlichim individuals who they come to regard as older siblings. It is an event we look forward to every year with good reason and plan on continuing for years to come."

- Soberman Family, The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp, Prosserman JCC

Connecting with Israel

“Although it was so new, Israel brought upon me a familiar sense of belonging much like what I feel at Camp Chi every summer. The ability to be in a place where one feels so free and proud to be a Jew is a feeling that makes me so proud to be involved in my Jewish heritage.” - Joshua Krawitz, 17, Camp Chi, JCC Chicago
