The Camp Klurman Story

Welcome to Camp Klurman at the NEW Galbut Family Miami Beach JCC on the Simkins Family Campus. At Camp Klurman, campers enjoy our brand new state-of-the-art facility, which includes our Sports Field, Gymnasium, Gymnastics Studio, Wiesenfeld Family Arts & Crafts Studio, Dance Studio, Playground, Kotzen Aquatic Center with Splash Pad and more. This summer your child will experience a variety of exciting, action-packed and stimulating activities each and every day that create a sense of independence, self-esteem and fun. Our program brings new challenges while combining friendships, character building and learning new skills. Campers gain a sense of belonging while developing a sense of teamwork and camaraderie. Each morning camp begins with Boker Tov (Good Morning) where energy, enthusiasm and ruach (spirit) fill the air. Dynamic dances and upbeat songs set the tone for the exciting day of activities ahead. Campers enjoy daily activities, weekly field trips or on-campus entertainment, Jewish traditions and special events. Top-notch instructors and MBJCC partner organizations teach all of our activities.

Why We Host Schlichim

"Hosting Shlichim during the summers remains a wonderful experience for our family. Each year we meet dynamic and fascinating young Israelis with whom we maintain contact long after the summer has gone. Our kids are the greatest beneficiaries of the experience, finding in the Shlichim individuals who they come to regard as older siblings. It is an event we look forward to every year with good reason and plan on continuing for years to come."

- Soberman Family, The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp, Prosserman JCC

Connecting with Israel

“Although it was so new, Israel brought upon me a familiar sense of belonging much like what I feel at Camp Chi every summer. The ability to be in a place where one feels so free and proud to be a Jew is a feeling that makes me so proud to be involved in my Jewish heritage.” - Joshua Krawitz, 17, Camp Chi, JCC Chicago
