JCC Chicago's Chavayah Overnight Camp has become the fastest growing overnight camp program in the Midwest. Designed for Orthodox Jewish girls, grades 5-11, the camp for girls fills a need for families seeking a diverse program of fun, excitement and ruach balances with religious observance.

Camp Director | Wendy Singer

Wendy Singer grew up in JCC Camping as a camper, staff, and now Director. She has an MS in Not for Profit Management. Her passion for overnight camping goes back to her years as the Assistant Director at JCC Camp Chi Overnight Camp. She brings incredible energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude to camp creating a genuinely caring and cooperative, deeply Judaic environment for your child.

On-Site Director | Bracha Polstein

Mrs. Bracha Polstein has been teaching Judaic and secular studies at day schools for more than 30 years. This dynamic, nurturing and inspirational educator generates enthusiasm and growth in the campers we serve. As the on-site Director Mrs. Polstein strives to make sure the over all well being of each individual camper is being met.

Why We Host Schlichim

"Hosting Shlichim during the summers remains a wonderful experience for our family. Each year we meet dynamic and fascinating young Israelis with whom we maintain contact long after the summer has gone. Our kids are the greatest beneficiaries of the experience, finding in the Shlichim individuals who they come to regard as older siblings.
