The JCC Showstoppers Camp Story

JCC Showstoppers Camp is geared for kids who like to sing, dance or act. Boys and girls ages 5-11 learn to sing, dance and act under the guidance of a dedicated staff of theater professionals. Each one-week session culminates with a musical revue featuring scenes and songs from popular shows performed on stage for family and friends. Camp includes daily free swim period in our Outdoor Pool.

Our Camp Leadership

Program Director | Betty Lehrman

Betty Lehrman has been involved in education, camping and the arts for more than 25 years, and has directed Camp Kaleidoscope since 2009. The former Executive Director of the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) and founder of the PAC Family Players, she taught middle school theater for seven years and has directed arts camps and theatre programs throughout Greater Boston; produced concert series and festivals; and taught storytelling and music to students from kindergarten through graduate school. Prior to directing Camp Kaleidoscope, Betty was known to Jewish audiences as a professional storyteller, specializing in Jewish tales of tradition and wisdom. She received a BS in Theater from Northwestern University and an MA in Theater Education from New York University.

Why We Host Schlichim

"Hosting Shlichim during the summers remains a wonderful experience for our family. Each year we meet dynamic and fascinating young Israelis with whom we maintain contact long after the summer has gone.
